Susan Mosher (Athlete 2025)
Susan has been around volleyball all of her life. From Fred Kirby Junior High School to wining 2 AAAA Provincial Championships for Queen Elizabeth High School. Included with those two titles her QE team won a number of NLVA titles including the Midget +1, Juvenile twice and Junior twice. The QE team captured gold in the Clarenville NL Winter Games in 1994.
She began her varsity career with MUN Seahawks in 1996 while playing for Memorial she won Atlantic University Sport (AUS) 1st Team All Star twice and MVP honours. In 1999-2000 she was named to the University Sport (U-Sport) All Canadian 2nd Team All Star. In 2000 she was awarded the Graham S Snow Memorial Award for varsity athletics with high academic achievement. Following a successful university volleyball career she’s has been coaching teams and athletes both locally and provincially since.
In 2001 Susan was inducted into Memorial University’s Athletic Honour Society for her outstanding contribution to the volleyball program at Memorial University.
Susan has been to multiple Canada Games as an athlete (1995 (Badminton) & 1997 (Volleyball) and head coach for 2001 Team NL girls beach volleyball. She has taken teams to various national competitions over the years. She headed up the CBS Volleyball Club’s 2023 U15 Girls Volleyball team that returned from Volleyball Canada Youth Nationals competition with a second place finish in their division last club season. Susan return to the High Performance program, this time on the male side with 14U with the CBS Volleyball Club. Susan also has previous experience with the NLVA’s summer programs over the past 25 years as an athlete and a coach. Susan has also been to several Provincial and National Special Olympic Games as a coach and mission staff.
In her hometown of Conception Bay South, Susan has coached local volleyball athletes of all ages at Villa Nova Junior High, Frank Roberts Junior High and St. Edward’s Elementary. She has experience coaching both male and female teams for more than 20 years on the court and at the beach. Susan has now been working with CBS Volleyball Club for past 3 seasons working with several junior skills and development programs. Susan is currently Assistant Principal at Queen Elizabeth High School and resides in Lawrence Pond with her husband Scott Andrews and their two boys Malcolm and Isaac.
