Canada Cup

Athletes successfully selected to the Canada Cup program will be assigned to teams in the 16U and 17U age categories.

• Committed post secondary athletes (regardless of age) can apply to participate by email to nlvaluke@sportnl.ca (no tryouts).

Training times and locations will be communicated to athletes after the Team NL tryouts.

Teams will travel to Moncton, New Brunswick for the Eastern Elite Championships on July 15th, continuing on to Canada Cup in Regina, Saskatchewan, returning to St. John’s on the 27th.

The Eastern Elite Championships will take place July 17th-19th at the Moncton Colosseum – 377 Killam Dr, Moncton, NB E1C 3T1

Canada Cup will 22-26th, University of Regina – 3737 Wascana Parkway, Regina, SK S4S 0A2.

Athletes will be housed in the residence at Mount Allison University. Only athletes and coaches will be permitted on campus during our stay.

Accommodations for Canada Cup will be communicated once provided by Volleyball Canada.

Athletes will have the opportunity to visit the grocery store upon arrival in Sackville. There will be a refrigerator and kitchenette on campus. Teams may eat at restaurants occasionally when time does not permit eating at residence. All costs associated with meals during training in Newfoundland and in New Brunswick/Saskatchewan, are the responsibility of the athlete.

Once athletes are dropped off at the airport on the 15th, the NLVA will assume responsibility for all travel in New Brunswick and Saskatchewan. Travel durning training and to and from the airport is the responsibility of the athlete.
